I have a court-appointed attorney. Can I change attorneys and hire you?

Yes, you can absolutely change attorneys from a public defender or a court-appointed attorney in Prince William County to one of our attorneys at Naum Estevez. You are allowed to hire a private attorney even if you were granted a court-appointed attorney or a Public Defender. It is a very simple process and done with a substitution order.

People change attorneys all the time for various reasons. These will not be seen as negative or positive on your case by the court.
